What is the difference between Plastic Vacuum Pump vs Glass Pump Bottles?

Glass bottles use a "dip tube" pump. It is literally a tube inside the bottle. The product flows up through the tube when pumped. 

Plastic bottles can use a vacuum pump. There is a disc inside the bottle that rises with each pump. The disc rises pushing the product up toward the top. As the disc rises, it eliminates "headspace", empty space between the top of the bottle and the product.

From our research, essentially all vacuum pump bottles available on the market are plastic. We have not seen a glass bottle that uses a vacuum pump. To our knowledge, glass bottles only use dip tubes.
