This Retinol is encapsulated in liposomes. Phospholipids, Avocado, and luxurious fruit oils help promote Retinol delivery and absorption and protect the skin barrier to reduce the look of redness and soothe skin.
HPR Granactive Retinoid is called a “next generation Retinol” for its ability to provide the benefits of Retinol with less irritation. Considered one of the most bio-available, non-prescription forms of Vitamin-A. It is the pinacolyl ester of all-trans retinoic acid.

Avocado Oil - Retinol is paired with Avocado and lipids as the fat-soluble content can help promote retinoid absorption and reduce irritation. Avocado helps calm and support the skin barrier, maintain hydration, and prevent water loss that leads to dry skin. Source of replenishing fatty acids, anti-aging antioxidants, vitamins.
Grape Seed Oil - rich in antioxidants, barrier supporting without being heavy on skin.
Camellia Tea Seed Oil (aka Tsubaki) – A variety of the green tea plant. Soothing, nourishing and helps lock in moisture. One of the greatest sources of antioxidants – contains more than almost any other plant oil.
Passionfruit (aka Maracuja) Oil – softens, soothes, and may help restore flexibility of the skin and support a healthy skin barrier.
Sweet Cherry Oil – promotes suppleness. Source of omega-9 fatty acids.
Blackberry Oil – source of Vitamins E.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride – enhances penetration of actives (helps delivery of Retinol). Source of fatty acids that help prevent dry skin. Softens skin and adds glide to the oil serum.
Coconut Fruit Extract – promotes moisturized, soft, smooth looking skin.
Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract - calming, creates a lovely scent.

Option to enhance with 1% Bakuchiol, plus CoQ10 (Ubiquinone).
1% Bakuchiol - anti-aging plant extract with Retinol-like effects. Plus soothing properties. Pro-collagen, reduces appearance of lines and wrinkles, and improves elasticity. It's also brightening, improves dullness, and helps even skin tone.
This plant extract has many of the benefits of Retinol with less irritation for skin.
It even has a calming impact, which can help sensitive skin and help make forms of Vitamin A like Retinol and HPR more tolerable. It is considered non-irritating.
CoQ10 - Ubiquinone aka Coenzyme Q10 is a potent well-regarded antioxidant that helps reduce appearance of wrinkles and visible signs of aging.
CoQ10 levels decrease with age, so replenishing helps skin look more youthful. It promotes natural collagen and elastin. It also may have soothing properties. Considered non-irritating.
SCENT BOOST: Optional Customization
Choose whether to add essential oils to the Vanilla Coconut scent. See details for Unscented option.
- Original: Coconut Vanilla scent from fruit extracts: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract.
- Unscented: This version leaves out scent ingredients (Vanilla, Coconut, or essential oils). It will have a light fruit scent coming naturally from cold pressed oils. No scent is added. Available by request for Private Label orders only. Sample the original with Coconut Vanilla and then we can leave scent out for Private Label.
- Rose Chamomile: INCI: Pelargonium Roseum (Rose Geranium) Oil, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Oil. Plus Vanilla Coconut
- Blue Tansy & Blue Chamomile (serum will be blue): both an Active and a boost to the scent. Helps soothe and reduce the appearance of redness.
This option adds a natural Blue color to the serum. The color comes naturally from the blue Essential Oils.
INCI: Tanacetum Annuum (Blue Tansy) Flower Oil, Chamomilla Recutita (German Blue Chamomile) Flower Oil. Plus Coconut Vanilla.
HOW TO USE
Directions: Apply to clean dry skin in the evening. Follow with moisturizer. Always use a sunscreen during the day when using retinoids. For sensitive skin, start by using once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency, as tolerated.
Warning: Never apply to skin that is red, peeling or irritated. Do not use if these signs are observed.
Tip: For skin concerned about potential irritation, try the "Retinol Sandwich" method, which means applying moisturizer, Retinol, then layer moisturizer again over Retinol. This can reduce irritation and improve tolerability. If skin feel sensitized, first reduce frequency of use. Then when using Retinol, start with the Sandwich Method.
Scent: Coconut and Vanilla fruit extracts. Option to enhance scent by adding essential oils to the Coconut Vanilla base scent. Unscented by request.
Feel: Silky, lightweight facial oil serum with a cushiony glide that absorbs without feeling greasy.
Skin types: All skin types. Great for sensitive skin - pairing "next generation Retinol" that has less irritation potential with lipids from fruit oils.
Time of day: Evening.
Tip: Bonus use: Give your favorite moisturizer a Retinoid boost by adding a few drops, mix together in your hand, and apply.
