An Enhanced Botanical Brightening Boost.
This non-comedogenic oil serum is packed with Vitamin C and multiple botanical brighteners. It is built around brightening the look of skin, helping reduce the appearance of dark spots and improve the look of uneven skin tone. In addition to brightening, it helps calm and soothe the look of skin, as well as being anti-aging and antioxidant rich.
Choose how to apply based on client needs:
- Apply directly to skin or
- Boost: layer with other brighteners or combine in hand to boost their effectiveness (ex: Niacinamide or Retinol).
It focuses addressing pigmentation, calming, and long-term skin quality rather than brightening through exfoliation. It's barrier-friendly brightening and a concentrated treatment, yet not skin aggressive.
Each ingredient was selected for its brightening, soothing, and antioxidant properties.
This formula combines superstar brightening actives: Licorice, Vitamin C [Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate], Vitamin E, Bearberry Uva Ursi, Rosehip Co2 extract, Bisabolol, and a Quad-Mushroom Adaptogen Complex. Multiple brightening ingredients work together in synergy to be more stable and effective together, potentially boosting results. Supported by soothing and calming Bisabolol.
Together, the enhanced brightening complex creates a powerful, oil-based brightening and antioxidant system that works synergistically to:

4 mushroom adaptogen complex of Reishi, Chaga, Maitake, and Cordyceps has brightening, soothing, and humectant properties - helping skin retain moisture and antioxidants help protect and defend skin from visible signs of aging.
Antioxidants help defend skin from free radicals - a source of visible aging and oxidative damage. Antioxidants can help calm skin and reduce the appearance of pigmentation.
The formula is Non-comedogenic. It is waterless to create an ultra concentrated serum of actives and skin nourishment -- with stable and deep delivery of those actives. Can be used across skin types from dry to blemish prone.
It can be presented as a treatment "Oil Serum". Or used as a Brightening Boost to enhance effectiveness other products by layering on skin or mixing in hand.
Due to overwhelming preference, we are now only offering the enhanced brightening version with additional brighteners: Bearberry (Uva Ursi) and Rosehip CO2 extract.
KEY INGREDIENTS
9% Licorice Extract:
- Licorice is used at a high concentration for its Botanical Brightening, Soothing, and Antioxidant properties.
- As a Tyrosinase inhibitor, it is a gentle natural alternative to Hydroquinone.
- Licorice helps even skin tone, reduce the look of dark spots, balance oil, and reduce appearance of redness.
- It is a source of brightening glabridin and calming glycyrrhizin.
- It is considered one of the safest brighteners, effective yet gentle, with low irritation potential.
- Licorice extract adds a characteristic Licorice scent.
6% Vitamin C: Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate – a lipophilic stable Vitamin C that is considered the “gold standard” in Vitamin C as one of the most effective forms of Vitamin C.
- Highly stable and oil (lipid) soluble, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (aka THD Ascorbate) may penetrate better into skin than other forms of vitamin C.
- Helps brighten, address dullness, and improve the overall appearance of skin.
- Support natural collagen, improve the appearance of fine lines, and firmer looking skin.
- Antioxidant - helps protect skin lipids and ceramides and defend from environmental aggressors.
- THDA is non-exfoliating and less potentially irritating than other forms of vitamin C.
- This form of vitamin C is not an acid - making it suitable for clients who can not use products that contain acids.
Bearberry (Uva Ursi) - Arctostaphylos Uva-Ursi (Bearberry) Leaf Extract is a plant berry extract considered to be rich in natural Arbutin. Considered a tyrosinase inhibitor. In addition to brightening, it's an antioxidant with soothing properties.
Rosehip Co2 extract - antioxidant and calming. Source of ProVitamin A beta-carotene (precursors to Vitamin A).
A CO₂ extract is a pure, concentrated plant extract rich in bioactive compounds. CO₂. It refers to an extraction method that preserves delicate nutrients from the seeds better than other extraction methods. CO₂ evaporates in ingredient production, leaving behind a pure extract.
Vitamin E - a higher dose of soothing antioxidant that works in synergy with Vitamin C. This is d-alpha tocopherol Vitamin E, the bio-active natural form.

Sunflower Oil - rich in vitamin E, soothing, helps replenish and restore the skin barrier. Emollient. Very non-comedogenic with a comedogenic index of 0.
SCENT BOOST: Optional Customization
For those interested in customizing the scent, you have the option to add essential oils (or leave the product fragrance-free as is).
- Original - leave as is. Fragrance-Free, Essential Oil Free. Has a natural licorice scent from actives.
- Yuzu, a non-phototoxic citrus that adds fresh lemon notes. INCI: Citrus Junos (Yuzu) Peel Oil.
- Chamomile: INCI: Anthemis Nobilis ( Roman Chamomile) Flower Oil. Roman Chamomile is colorless.
- Blue Tansy & Blue Chamomile: both an Active and a boost to the scent. Helps soothe and reduce the appearance of redness.
- INCI: Tanacetum Annuum (Blue Tansy) Flower Oil, Chamomilla Recutita (German Blue Chamomile) Flower Oil.
- SPA CALM: Lavender - Eucalyptus - Bergamot Orange: fresh clean blend of essential oils. We use non-phototoxic Bergapten-Free Beramot citrus. It is FCF Furocoumarin Free.
- INCI: Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil.
HOW TO USE
Directions: Apply to cleansed skin. Concentrated oil serum can be used in multiple ways. Apply directly to skin. Or mix a few drops into another product and combine in the palm of hand, then apply to face, avoiding eyes.
Plays well with other brighteners. The Vitamin C in this booster is non-acidic so it can be used in conjunction with Retinol or Niacinamide. Do not mix into AHAs or acids.
Scent: Licorice scent coming naturally from licorice extract active. Fragrance-Free unless you choose to add essential oils
Feel: Light and absorbs quickly.
Skin types: All skin types.
Time of day: Anytime (AM/PM/Both).
