What is Mandelic Acid?
Mandelic Acid is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) that is a gentler alternative to Glycolic Acid for less irritation and redness. This is because of its larger molecular size. It is considered more suited to daily use than other AHAs.
Mandelic Acid is known for its exfoliating + clarifying properties and as an alternative to hydroquinone to help with the appearance of pigmentation. It helps clarify pores, reduce the appearance of pores, and improve skin texture.
Mandelic Acid is combined with humectants to help put the skin barrier first and keep skin hydrated, calm, and feeling good. Unlike other companies, this formulation leaves out drying irritating astringents ingredients like Alcohol and Witch Hazel.
Humectants Hyaluronic Acid and Glycerin to help skin feel moisturized, comfortable and not irritated or “dried-out”. We use calming soothing Willowherb and Billberry. Billberry is an antioxidant rich sibling of blueberry that also soothes. Rather than dried out, skin feels soft and smooth.
This product gently exfoliates surface dead skin. Exfoliation helps prevent and remove buildup of dirt, sebum, dead skin, etc. Exfoliating dead skin buildup on the surface can help enhance product absorption of serums and moisturizers in remainder of clients' routine.
Mandelic Acid is a chemical exfoliator rather than a physical exfoliator. The goal is to support the skin and not leave it compromised or irritated.
Mandelic Acid also has anti-aging benefits. It brightens and evens skin tone, improves skin texture and the look of dull skin. It helps skin look smoother and firmer, reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Works in synergy with glycerin to help skin feel moisturized. Antimicrobal properties for clearer looking skin.
Dimethyl Isosorbide: enhances delivery and penetration of actives. Emollient. Helps lock in moisture and reduce dryness and flaking. Non-comodogenic.
Willow herb: soothing antioxidant.
Bilberry: calming antioxidant. May help reduce look of redness. Soothing variation of blueberry.
Sugar Cane: humectant that helps skin attract and retain water, which promotes moisturized skin
HOW TO USE
Directions: After cleansing, apply to dry skin in the evening. Leave-On. Follow with serums and moisturizer. Use sunscreen in the AM.
Can be used daily if skin tolerates. If daily is too frequent for an individual, use every other night or 2x per week.
Rinse-off if skin feels sensitive to it.
Tip: Clients can make their own fresh AHA pad by dispensing onto a cotton pad and using pad to wipe face.
Cautions: Do not use on sensitive or broken skin. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use, and consult a physician. Patch testing prior to use is advised.
Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
Scent: Fragrance-Free. The is slight acidic scent coming from Mandelic acid. It is the scent you'd associate with glycolic acid.
Feel: Silky texture that almost feels like a light oil, but is water-based and oil-free.
