Mandelic Acid is one of the gentlest Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA), especially suited for sensitive skin. It has many benefits. 1st is exfoliation. This product gently exfoliates surface dead skin.  Exfoliation helps prevent and remove buildup of dirt, sebum, dead skin, etc. 

Exfoliating dead skin buildup on the surface can help enhance product absorption of serums and moisturizers in remainder of clients' routine.

It is a chemical exfoliator rather than an abrasive or irritating physical exfoliator. 

Additionally, Mandelic Acid helps clarify pores - keeping them clearer, improve skin texture and look of dull skin, brighten look of skin, and even skin tone. It also has anti-aging benefits - helping skin look smoother and firmer, reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Mandelic Acid is paired with humectants to help skin feel moisturized, comfortable and not irritated or “dried-out”. Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin & Propanediol, and calming antioxidants from Billberry and Willowherb. Rather than dried out, skin feels soft and smooth.

Mandelic Acid is generally well tolerated and beneficial across skin types - from oily blemish prone to dry sensitive skin.

This is a leave-on product - intended to be left on the skin to maximize effectiveness. Leave on the skin to continue working overnight. 

It has a silky texture. Water-based, oil-free, and alcohol-free. Clear packaging is not recommended for Mandelic Acid. 

KEY INGREDIENTS

10% Mandelic Acid - a gentle AHA Alpha Hydroxy Acid that is anti-aging and exfoliating. Think of it like Glycolic Acid, but gentler on skin and more suitable for daily use.

Hyaluronic Acid - humectant that helps promote hydrated plumper looking skin.

Glycerin - humectant that helps hydrate look of skin and help skin retain moisture. Supports skin barrier. Good for all skin types - whether dry or oily. 

Propanediol - humectant (helps skin retain moisture) and emollient (soften and smooth look of  skin). It can help other ingredients better absorb into skin to improve product effectiveness. Works in synergy with glycerin to help skin retain water. 

Dimethyl Isosorbide: enhances delivery and penetration of actives. Emollient. Helps lock in moisture and reduce dryness and flaking. Non-comodogenic. 

Willow herb: soothing antioxidant. 

Bilberry: calming antioxidant. May help reduce look of redness.

Sugar Cane: humectant that helps skin attract and retain water, which promotes moisturized skin

HOW TO USE

Directions: After cleansing, apply to dry skin in the evening. Follow with serums and moisturizers, if desired. Follow with sunscreen in the AM.

Cautions: Do not use on sensitive or broken skin. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use, and consult a physician. Patch testing prior to use is advised. 

Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

Scent: none / light scent you'd associate with glycolic acid

Feel: Silky texture that almost feels like a light oil, but is water-based and oil-free.

1. As an alternative to Toner - with better results - reduce oiliness and irritation with this swap.

2. As a leave-on exfoliator after cleansing.
