It combines well-studied brightening actives that work together in synergy. 4.5% Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), 1% Alpha-Arbutin, and 2% Licorice complex deliver a multi-pathway brightening approach. These help reduce the appearance of pigmentation, reduce dullness, and improve clarity. N-Acetyl Glucosamine (NAG) works synergistically with Niacinamide to improve texture and refine tone.
Well known brightening ingredients are supported by gentle exfoliation and a soothing complex of Allantoin, Panthenol, and Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate (a concentration of the most soothing components of Licorice) to reduce the look of redness and calm. Soothing ingredients are important in brightening products because they can help reduce the look post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Glycerin, Propanediol hydrate while Gluconolactone (PHA) supports gentle exfoliation.
This targeted serum or advanced active toner brightens with continued use over time. Skin is left brighter, calmer, and more balanced with every use. With gentle hydrators and soothing agents, this formula is effective yet skin-friendly for most skin types, including sensitive.
An ideal addition to professional facials or as part of a home care regimen for clients concerned with the appearance of pigmentation, dullness, or post-acne marks.
*Works well in the Serum step or in the Toner step (ie: after cleansing and before serums), depending on how you want to incorporate it into client routines. When presented as a toner, it’s considered a targeted advanced active toner with the ingredients of a serum.

Brightening & Even Tone
Niacinamide (4.5%): Vitamin B3 is well known for reducing the appearance of dark spots, improving the look of uneven skin tone, promoting radiance (reducing dullness), and supporting the skin barrier.
- In addition to brightening, Niacinamide is also anti-aging, soothing, and useful for oily or blemish prone skin.
- At this concentration, Niacinamide can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and support skin’s natural collagen production.
- It also balances oiliness of skin, reduces the appearance of pores, calms, and reduces the appearance of blemishes.
- This concentration is used to be effective, yet less irritating. Concentrations over 5% are more likely to be irritating.
Licorice Brightening Complex (2%): Licorice Root Extract + Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate
Licorice Root: Brightens and soothes the look of skin. It helps fade the look of discoloration. Licorice root is the “broad spectrum” extract of licorice with brightening, soothing, and antioxidant properties.
Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate: A concentration of the most soothing components in Licorice to help calm the look of redness, brighten, and work with Niacinamide and Arbutin to promote a more even-looking complexion.
Alpha-Arbutin (1%): helps reduce the look of hyperpigmentation gradually over time. Known as a respected tyrosinase inhibitor. Considered more effective than Beta-Arbutin.
N-Acetyl Glucosamine (NAG): an anti-aging amino sugar that has skin exfoliating and brightening properties. Works synergistically with Niacinamide to lighten the appearance of dark spots and improve hydration. Supports natural hyaluronic acid production
Gluconolactone (PHA): Gentle exfoliation, antioxidant protection, and humectant activity.
Soothing & Anti-Redness
Licorice + Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate + Allantoin + Panthenol: A strong calming complex that reduces the look of redness and irritation.
Hydration & Barrier Support
Glycerin & Propanediol: Humectants that draw water into skin, boosting hydration.
Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5): Moisturizes, soothes, and supports barrier.
Allantoin: Moisturizing, exfoliating and soothing. It hydrates, calms, supports barrier, and encourages shedding dead skin for added clarity, radiance, and smoother skin.
Antioxidant
Niacinamide and Arbutin are also antioxidants that provide antioxidant support to help protect skin from oxidative stress and environmental aggressors.
Watermelon extract – antioxidant. This plant extract gives the serum its natural light pink color.
HOW TO USE
Directions: Apply to skin after cleansing. Can be used daily multiple ways:
1. As an alternative to a traditional Toner. More actives than a standard toner - go for targeted serum strength toner and follow with serums, such as Vitamin C or Retinol.
2. As a Serum
This formula can be layered with other brighteners. For example, use this in the toner step and follow with a Vitamin C Serum or Retinol Serum. Alternatively, it has the potency and actives of a serum and can be used in the serum step.
It is also a good alternative for clients who are not able to use other brighteners like Vitamin C or Retinol.
