Lipid Marshmallow Water Bank Light Moisturizer: Pro-Ceramide Skin Barrier, Replenish & Hydrate

Lighter moisturizer formulated with skin barrier replenishing lipids and soothing ingredients like Marshmallow. It’s water packed for hydration, combined with humectants and biomimetic lipids to help skin maintain that moisture and see a healthy skin barrier. All while absorbing quickly without residue and is non-greasy.

Lipids are important for youthful healthy looking skin. But, natural lipids and ceramides in the skin can deplete with age.

Replenish skin with Sphingolipids, Phospholipids, and Saccharide Isomerate. They enable a healthy skin barrier and promote an increase in natural ceramides. Skin can both lack water and not be able to retain water. A healthy skin barrier helps skin retain and lock-in moisture and reduce TEWL Transepidermal Water Loss. This can increase and sustain skin hydration. Skin is more hydrated and smoother looking and less dry. Marshmallow extract helps soothe skin.

Ceramides are lipids that are an essential component of the skin’s natural protective barrier. Sphingolipids are a building block of ceramides and promote natural ceramides.

The skin barrier not only seals in moisture to prevent dryness, it protects skin from environmental aggressors and external irritants that can contribute to aging and irritation. 

When skin is hydrated and moisturized, visible signs of aging can look improved. Skin appears smoother and plumper and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles is reduced.

Compared to the Ceramide Gel Cream - Cool Mint, this moisturizer contains a mix of water, oil, and lipids for a more traditional moisturizer texture vs the oil-free gel cream. It also has no scent vs. refreshing mint.

Fast absorbing. Does not leave a residue. Not oily and not greasy. Light to Medium Weight (leans toward the lighter side). Unscented.

KEY INGREDIENTS

Sphingolipids - lipids that support a healthy skin barrier and help prevent moisture loss. They are a key building block for ceramides - which supports natural ceramide production. Ceramides are an important part of the skin barrier and help prevent transepidermal water loss. A healthy skin barrier also helps protect skin from potentially aging and irritating environmental aggressors.

Phospholipids - humectant and moisture magnets that promote healthy hydrated skin. Help enhance penetration and absorption of both hydrating ingredients and active ingredients. Phospholipids are emollient - which means they help soften and smooth the look of skin. Think of them as filling in cracks in the skin barrier. This moisture retention and intact barrier promotes plumper looking skin.

Saccharide Isomerate (aka Pentavitin®): Humectant from plant sugars that helps keep skin hydrated. Considered a “moisture magnet”. It mimics skin’s natural moisturizing factors (NMFs). Soothes and supports the skin barrier.  

Marshmallow extract - soothes and reduces look of redness.

Hydrolyzed Marine Collagen (from Seaweed): Vegan. Humectant that helps keep skin hydrated. Humectants act like moisture magnets, then Jojoba Oil helps seal in moisture.

Glycerin - humectant that promotes moisturized skin.

Cetearyl Olivate and Sorbitan Olivate: mimics natural lipids of the skin barrier, moisturizes, supports skin barrier, soothes and calms sensitive skin. Helps oil and water mix together.

Jojoba Oil - promotes healthy skin barrier, helps seal in moisture and calm look of skin. 

Shea Butter - helps prevent moisture loss and softens the feel of skin. 

Coconut Fruit Powder - emollient for soft, supple, hydrated skin.

Directions: Apply to cleansed skin. Use AM & PM.
